03/01 New album title!
Dear fans,
We hereby can announce the title of our upcoming new album! It will be titled 'The Heart Of Everything'. We will announce the detailed release dates shortly. We will also post more information on our first single 'What Have You Done (feat. Keith Caputo)' as well very soon!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
intervista sulle varie tracce:
Interviewer - From what we've heard, (just 1:30 minutes from each song) I think that“The Heart Of Everything” is the perfect follow up to “The Silent Force”. Following the same style, composition, structure and production, but not as comercial as "The Silent Force", this one is more energetic. Either way not much has changes, well maybe in the new single, "What Have You Done?", which is quite surprising… The first sight of you that we had after your 'break' to arange the new songs after the tour and the birth of your child was "The Howling" one of the songs included in "The Chronicles Of Spellborn", "The Howling" is a track that follows the line and structure of your last album "The Silent Force"...
Robert.- Indeed, "The Howling" is also included in our new album.
I- What's the name of the other song included in the videogame?
Robert.- “Sounds of freedom”... This will probably be in a single or as a B-side in the near future.. [Here some story about the TCOS game which is boring and unimportant]
I- “Frozen” and “Hand of sorrow” are two beautiful tracks, a bit softer where Sharon gives herself into the song, tracks with lots of feeling... Just like the Within Temptation style, specially "Hand Of Sorrow" has a killer chorus...
Sharon.- Yes, thanks for realizing that!, I like to think we have our own style and personality when we make ballads... I like "Frozen" a lot, for example. Also in the album there are two ballads like "Forgiven", which is more like a traditional "WT ballad", featuring the piano... you know. The other one is "All I Need", it's a bit different from what we're used to do because it doesn't contain any orchestration, it's just the guitar, it's like a thougher ballad.
Robert.- Until now we had not written a ballad in that way and now we had the chance... Also there is another track which is not exactly a ballad but some sort of slow track with some dark and heavy elements, a bit experimental.... It has a guitar rythm that I like a lot.
I- Continuing with the new album, most of the tracks we already said are a bit more actual. But in my opinion, "Our Solemn Hour" is the track that the Old WT fans will like the most, it reminds me a lot of your inicial stuff as a band but in a modern way...
Robert.- Yes, I guess... It's a track that is fully WITHIN TEMPTATION, really deep in our roots and original style, yes.
Sharon.- The vocals and melodies of that song are meant to go on that direction. It's more bombastic and epic like Deceiver Of Folls and other songs from ME, the clasic style of Within Temptation, yeah.
Robert.- In this album there will be several different styles and different parts of the personality of Within Temptation represented in the tracks...
[...]
I- Also as a highlight I would recall “Final destination” as one of the tracks that follows the path of the last album, “The Silent Force”…
Robert.- It's a strong track and based on the movie “Final destination” It's about when you're scared in your life, about what is not going right, so you should be loyal to yourself and it will all be better. It's like seeing your past, you know. It has a heavy riff but we used some effects to create a sound that represents the meaning of the song. It is also about another dimension and parallel worlds... and that sort of stuff.
I- The album's title is “The Heart Of Everything”. What does that mean?
Sharon.- It has to do with the record itself, it represents the feeling it has. It's like an answer to the fans' questions. It represents what we do and what we give to our music... We put our heart into this record with respect, so there is a bit about where the title came from.
I- What about the symbols in the cover?
Sharon.- As you said, there are many symbols in the album's cover and the idea is to have the fans discovering each symbol and relating them to the tracks. It's about looking in the mirror, you know, about blood, changes, different religions, and other stuff...
Robert.-Like when people tell you things and you're with your 'eyes closed' so you have to create your own opinions and critics.

QUOTE
"Paul Beltoise , one of the mixers of the new album, said in an interview that he is unhappy with Sharon’s decision of not including two songs in the new album: Renaiscence and The Sleeping Song. We will have to wait to see if they will be available in some single.
According to the interview:
“It was disappointing to see Sharon picking up Frozen instead of Renaiscence. I’ve just loved the song and trust me the style “lick-ice” [P@tra’s note: I’m sorry, I have no idea about the meaning of this expression] doesn’t please me at all! The song is 7-8 minutes long and it was very funny to create all the effects on it. The song is about religion and says that people should open their eyes. Like a slap on fake religions’ face.
The song starts with Sharon reading some parts of the “Apocalipse” book, from the Catholic Bible, on the first 3 minutes. Behind her reading, we added her screaming with some effects to create the illusion that she has possessed by money. It was very funny when she had to record the screamings, she is a very crazy and funny person. She had really grabbed her hair and screamed to look like she was really possessed. We laugh about it and Robert just throwed a bootle of water to Sharon, saying that the water was blessed, holy [P@tra’s note: sorry I don’t know the correct term] water. Her expression was hilarious! Robert had to pay a new micro anyway. The rhythm changes several times during the song. We all wanted this song to be in the album, however, with 6 votes against 1, we lost because this 1 was hers. But screw her, I already have the song on my computer. [P@tra’s note: Attention! This “screw her” isn’t said in a serious way, it is said with a joking tone!]
Other song that grabbed my attention was The Heart or Everything and The Sleeping Song. The last one was composed only with string instruments (6 or 7 instruments) and with a mix of a Baby box. [P@tra’s note: you know, those boxes for babies that when you open them plays a really nice song?]. We almost fell asleep with it! Hahahahaha!”
Sharon said the names of four songs that didn’t make it to the album:
- Sounds of Freedom
- The Sleeping Song
- Renaiscence
- Enlightned Imp
On the same interview, she said that she won’t be wearing dresses anymore because she feels fat with them."
Traduzione:
- Sounds of Freedom
- The Sleeping Song
- Renaiscence
- Enlightned Imp
Nella stessa intervista Sharon ha detto che non indosserà più vestiti perchè la fanno sentire grassa"
PS: Appena ho due minuti traduco anche l'intervista su in cima.
